RIYADH: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority have thwarted two drug-smuggling attempts at the Al-Durrah and Rub’ Al-Khali border crossings, seizing 33,548 amphetamine pills and over 21 kg of methamphetamine hidden in a vehicle and truck.

The ZATCA’s spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi said the authority would continue to tighten customs controls across the Kingdom to protect society from drug smugglers, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
