RIYADH: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority have thwarted two drug-smuggling attempts at the Al-Durrah and Rub鈥� Al-Khali border crossings, seizing 33,548 amphetamine pills and over 21 kg of methamphetamine hidden in a vehicle and truck.
The ZATCA鈥檚 spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi said the authority would continue to tighten customs controls across the Kingdom to protect society from drug smugglers, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
Al-Harbi urged the public to assist in their efforts and report crimes confidentially via the dedicated number 1910, email 1910@zatca.gov.sa, or the international number 009661910.
